TransistorPro is developed and published by ProAudioWorks ("we", "us", or "our"). TransistorPro is an electronics reference application designed for guitar amplifier repair technicians and electronics hobbyists. It provides a transistor database, pinout reference, calculators, and an AI-powered repair assistant.
We collect only what's needed to run your account, process subscriptions, and power the optional AI assistant. Specifically:
Account information (when you sign in):
This is collected via Google sign-in, processed through our authentication provider, Supabase. This data is required to create and secure your account.
Subscription information (if you subscribe to Pro or Expert):
This is stored in our database so the app knows which features to unlock for your account. It does not include any payment card details — see Section 6.
We want to be clear about what we don't do:
The core transistor database, pinout reference, cross-reference tables, and calculators all run entirely on your device. No data is transmitted to any server when you search the database or use the calculators. This part of the app works fully offline and requires no account.
The AI Bench feature (available on Pro and Expert subscription plans) uses the Anthropic Claude API to provide repair advice and technical assistance. When you use the AI Bench:
The Expert plan includes a web search feature. When you use this feature, Anthropic may perform web searches on your behalf to retrieve technical information such as datasheets and component availability. These searches are subject to Anthropic's privacy policy.
TransistorPro offers optional Pro and Expert subscription plans processed through Stripe, our payment processor. When you subscribe:
TransistorPro is hosted on Netlify as a Progressive Web App. Netlify may collect standard web server logs (such as IP addresses and request timestamps) for security and operational purposes. This is governed by Netlify's Privacy Policy. We do not access or use these logs for any purpose beyond troubleshooting service issues.
Our backend authentication and database services are provided by Supabase, governed by Supabase's Privacy Policy.
TransistorPro is a technical reference tool intended for adults and is rated Everyone on Google Play. The app does not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you believe a child has submitted personal information through the app, please contact us and we will address it.
Account and subscription data is stored with our database provider, Supabase, using industry-standard security practices. Your AI queries travel over encrypted HTTPS connections to Anthropic's servers. Your in-app purchase transactions are secured by Stripe. We do not store your payment card details at any point.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this page periodically. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your account data (email, subscription records) by contacting us using the information below. For data handled by our third-party services (Anthropic, Stripe, Netlify, Supabase), please refer to their respective privacy policies linked above.
